If you’re looking for a relaxing island getaway to clear the head and revive the senses, then Mooloomba Palms is just the spot! One of our LIVE LIKE A LOCAL holiday homes, this beautiful newly renovated house has been lovingly revived by its owners and now these long-term locals want to share their stunning home with visitors to the island during select Queensland school holidays.

Please note that this property is a seven night minimum. For Easter 2024 bookings, guests can only book the following dates:

  • Friday 28 March to Friday 5 April 2024, or
  • Saturday 6 April to Saturday 7 April 2024

This split level, fully renovated beach house in the heart of Point Lookout is only a short walk to the main business hub, grocery and retail shops, a number of pristine beaches and the iconic Headland/Gorge walk. It’s the perfect spot for you to slow down, lose track of the days and get back in touch with the small pleasures in life. Sleeping eight with four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this holiday house has all the comforts you need for a comfortable and restful island holiday, including being fully air-conditioned and offering free Wi-Fi.

Mooloomba Palms exudes style and comfort. Textured furnishings along with the neutral colour tone and use of natural materials turns your vacation mood on and help you feel completely relaxed as soon as you step into the house. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area flows effortlessly out onto the wrap around deck, creating a number of relaxed and comfortable spaces for friends and family to gather, kick back and enjoy time together.

The beautiful kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm with an electric oven and ceramic cooktop, family size fridge/freezer and a dishwasher to make cleaning up a breeze. The gas strut servery window above the sink opens up to the deck, making the most of your entertainment areas. With additional bar stool seating, this space not only increases the airflow throughout the house, but also allows you to socialise with guests while preparing food or drinks. The BBQ is conveniently positioned outside the servery window, making cooking outdoors easier and more accessible.

The cosy living area offers a 50 inch smart TV (including access to Apple TV) and a large L-shape sofa, perfect for lazing around on after a full day of sun, surf and sand. Off the living area are three bedrooms. Bedroom one has a king bed with access to the front deck. Bedroom two offers a queen bed and a second TV, while the third bedroom is set up with two single beds and has access to the rear patio.

The stylish, fully tiled main bathroom is located on this level and has a large walk-in shower and continues with the relaxed, coastal vibe in the choice of fixtures and material. Behind the bathroom is a laundry area, cleverly hidden behind cupboards, offering a front loader washing machine and dryer, with direct access to an outdoor area complete with clothesline, outdoor shower and storage for surfboards, skateboards etc.

Towards the back of the house and up a few stairs is the parents retreat. A spacious bedroom that holds a king bed and another TV off which is a stunning fully tiled ensuite, with another large walk-in shower. This room has direct access to the back yard and offers complete privacy from the rest of the house.

The back patio houses a full-size pool table and a second fridge, perfect as a drinks fridge or to store that excess food. The back yard also has a firepit for those cooler months. Yet another place for friends and family to gather and enjoy their island escape together.

Mooloomba Palms is one of those special places where you can kick off your shoes and really switch off. It can be as active or relaxed as you want it to be. This house has been re-built with family living in mind and we are sure you will enjoy this gorgeous home with your loved ones.

All linen is provided for the house and beds are made on arrival, so all you need to bring are the beach towels. A starter welcome pack is also supplied which includes 2 toilet rolls, 1 bin liner, 1 chux, 1 scourer and enough dishwashing liquid and dishwasher tablets for your stay.
